Indian River Cattle Company is a family run operation specializing in the production of elite Black and Red Simmental cattle. Located just east of Peterborough at Indian River we are only 1 1/2 hours away from the heartbeat of Canada, the city of Toronto. Along with the production of superior seedstock we also run a custom fitting and showing service for all breeds of cattle. In recent years we have entered the sales management, marketing and consulting business being heavily involved in the Limousin breed, but also active in most breed sales. We are also the junior partners of the well known Hereford Outfit - Elmlodge.
Our Goal as a breeder of purebred Simmentals has been to produce and supply predictable genetics to both commercial and purebred breeders in the form of herdbull and replacement females. We have realized a portion of our goal by producing some of the winningest bulls and females at major events in Eastern Canada in 2005 and 2006. A true testament to the quality of our breeding program was garnering the prestigious Premier Breeder and Exhibitor banners at Eastern Canada's largest show the NABC in both 2005 and 2006.
